The New Skateboard Ramp
Jake and Midge where
sitting on Midge's front porch waiting on Booker-T to walk over so
they could go to the park. “Lets go in and talk to Snappy while we
wait,” suggested Midge.
“Sure,” said
Jake. “Lets go. It has been a few days since I saw him.”
They walked to the
back of the and house and squeezed through the doggie door. Once
inside they quickly crossed the kitchen and entered the living room.
“Hey Snappy,” called Jake when he got close to the tank that he
called home.
Snappy looked out
the glass of the tank,” Hi Jake.”

Midge and the Ideas
“Hey Midge,” greeted
Jake as Midge walked through the gate at Jake's house. “What are
you doing this morning?”
“Hi Jake,” smiled
Midge. “Am visiting you this morning.”
“Ha ha,” laughed
Jake. “We are always visiting each other.”
“I know,” said
Midge. “I'm happy we are friends.”
“Me too,” agreed
Jake. “Where is Booker-T this morning?”
“He had to go to
the vet's this morning,” said Midge. “I saw his owner putting
him in the car this morning.”
“Seems like not
long ago he went,” said Jake. “Time goes fast doesn't it?”

The Odd Ball
“Hi Midge!” called
Jake as he scurried up the sidewalk to the front porch where Midge
was sitting. “What are you doing?'
“Hi Jake,” smiled
Midge. “Waiting on Booker-T to come over. He wants to see Snappy
before we go run in the park.”
“I'd like to go in
and talk to snappy too,” said Jake. “I haven't seen him in a
while. How is he doing?”
“He sure loves his
new home,” said Midge. “He knows winter is coming and he don't
miss the cold pond.”
“That is good,”
said Jake. “He really is a small little guy to be in the big pond.
Someone could step on him and not realize it. He is safer in this
home.”

The House Fire
“Hey Jake!” called Midge as she
strolled up the sidewalk to the porch. “What are you doing?”
“Hi Midge,” greeted Jake. “I'm
resting. My owner just left for work. What are you doing?”
“Are we going to go to the park
today?” asked Midge.
“Where's Booker-T?” asked Jake.
“Isn't he coming too?”
“He will be here shortly,” said
Midge. “He was waiting for his owner to leave too.”
“Must be a late day for
everyone,” laughed Jake.
“Mine was early going to work
today,” said Midge. “I sat and talked with Gabby before checking
on Booker-T. He said to come on here and he would come soon as he
could.”
“Have you seen Gabby?” asked
Jake. “He hasn't been around for a couple of days.”
