Party Time

It's party time!” sang Midge as she walked to Booker-T's house. “It's party time in the house tonight!”

Hi Midge,” smiled Booker-T. “What are you singing? What party?”

Hi Booker-T,” said Midge. “My owner is having a party. It's party time tonight.”

What kind of party?” asked Booker-T. “Can I come to your party?”

Oh sure,” smiled Midge. “Come on over. It will be fun. My owner is having a costume party for this thing they call Halloween.”

Are You Cold

Midge was sitting on the porch dressed in a pretty blue sweater and sitting on a warm blanket that laid on the swing. Jake and Lucy walked through the gate and ran to the porch. Behind them, Booker-T ran through the gate.

Hi Midge,” said Jake.

Are you cold?” asked Lucy.

No,” said Midge.

Why are you wearing the sweater?” asked Booker-T.

Did you hear the weather this morning?” asked Midge. “I'm ready.”

What is the Human Doing?

Midge, Jake and Booker-T walked along the sidewalk on their way to the park where they are to meet Lucy. They turned the corner and saw these little humans playing on the sidewalk and they were drawing squares on the sidewalk.

What are they doing?” asked Midge. “Why are they drawing squares?”

I don't know,” said Booker-T.

Maybe they are drawing some buildings on the sidewalk,” suggested Jake.

It's a funny looking building,” smiled Midge. “I never saw any buildings with the numbers in them like that.”

Our houses have a number on the door,” said Booker-T. “Maybe those numbers are the address of the buildings.”

Look What I Found

Lucy, Midge and Booker-T laid down under the tree and took a nap in the shade. It seemed like a long time that they slept when Booker-T stood up and stretched and looked around the pasture for Jake.

Hey, Midge, Lucy!” called Booker-T. “Wake up you guys. Where is Jake?”

Midge stood up and stretched and looked around and Lucy looked around and no one saw where Jake was.

Did Jake go home?” asked Lucy.

I don't think so,” said Midge. “He would have woke us up if he was going to go home. He never would have gone without us.”
