The Stranger at the door

“Hi Midge,” said Jake as he crawled through the doggie door into the kitchen at Midge's house.

“Wow!” Exclaimed Midge. “You are here early this morning. My owner just left for work.”

“I know,” said Jake. “I was sitting out there in the dark waiting for her to leave.”

“Why?” asked Midge. “Is everything all right? You don't usually come this early.”

“Everything is fine,” said Jake. “My owner left early today for her job and I wanted to come over here to say hi to Snappy and got tired of just sitting at the house alone.”

“So you sat outside alone in the dark?” said Midge.

Midge Tries to Fly

 “Good morning Midge,” smiled Gabby as he flew down from the tree tops with a beak full of feathers.

“Hi Gabby,” said Midge. “Oh, you brought me some feathers.”

“I did and my friend is here too with some more,” said Gabby. “Where are Jake and Booker-T?”

“They should be here soon,” said Midge.

“And how are you going to put the feathers on?” asked Gabby. “I don't have anything to attach them with.”

“Oh dear,” sighed Midge. “I forgot about that. I don't know how to attach them.”

“You were only thinking about flying,” said Gabby. “But you can't try to fly until you attach the feathers to you.”

The Funny Balls

 Midge ran up to the door at Booker-T's house. “Hey Booker-T!” called Midge. “Where are you?”

“Hi Midge,” said Booker-T as he hurried out of the backyard and joined Midge in the front. “What are you doing?”

“Lets go to Jake's,” said Midge.

“Okay,” said Booker-T.

“What were you doing?” asked Midge.

“I was watching the neighbor boys playing in the back yard,” said Booker-T.

“What are they doing?” asked Midge.

“They are throwing a funny looking ball back and forth and sometimes it breaks and they get wet,” said Booker-T. “Then they laugh and laugh and do it again.”

“Can we go see?” asked Midge. “That sounds like fun.”

Jake and Midge go to the Park - Animation

this is a short animation with Jake, Midge, Booker-T and Gabby...  am trying out a little animation along with the written stories...
    This is nothing professional, am learning to do this so hope you enjoy...

The Noisy Machine

“Hi Jake,” said Midge as Jake came into the yard at her house. “You are here early today. Did you sleep last night?”

“Ha ha,” smiled Jake. “I slept. My owner is cleaning house today and it is too noisy so took walk.”

“She makes a lot of noise when she cleans?” asked Midge with a puzzled look.

“Does your owner use one of those noisy things in the house when she cleans?” asked Jake.

“What noisy thing?” asked Midge.

“She is cleaning the floor,” said Jake. “She has one for the carpet and one for the tile floors that gets the floor wet.”

“My owner uses something called a vacuum cleaner when she cleans in the living room,” said Midge. “But she don't use a different one for the floor in the kitchen.”

Booker-T Wants a Sweater

“Hey Midge!” called Jake as he hurried into the house. “Where are you? I came to see Snappy.”

“Hi Jake,” replied Midge. “Snappy will be happy to see you. Did you see Booker-T when you came into the yard?”

“No,” said Jake. “I thought he might already be here. He said he wanted to see Snappy this morning too.”

“I haven't seen him yet today,” said Midge.

“I see you have your new collar on this morning,” said Jake.

“Do you like it?” asked Midge as she pranced back and forth flipping her head.

“It is pretty, Midge,” said Jake. “But is it bothering you?”

The Strange Tube

The friends were on their way home from the park and saw an eagle and remembered watching one in the bird show. . They hurried along the sidewalk.

“Wasn't it a good show when we went?” asked Gabby. “I sure liked all the birds and those eagles are so amazing.”

“It was good show and some of the birds were really big,” said Midge. “I think some of them could have picked me up off the ground.”

“Maybe even me,” laughed Jake.

“I don't think so,” said Susie. “You are too big for them to pick up.”

“Maybe,” said Jake. “I don't think I want them to try it.”

“Hey, look over there guys,” said Booker-T. “What is she doing?”
