Jake Wants to Go to The Zoo

Midge hurried along the sidewalk to catch up to Booker-T, who was on his way to Jake's house.
Wait for me, Booker-T,” called Midge.
I was at your house this morning,” said Jake stopping and turning around. “Where were you? I called several times but you did not answer.”
Sorry,” said idge. “I didn't hear you. I was in the back room with my owner and she had the music on loud this morning.”
I heard the music out front,” smiled Booker-T. “I guess that's why you didn't hear me.”
She always plays the music when she gets ready for work,” said Midge. “But usually it is not that loud. I don't know why she had it that loud this morning.”

Halloween Time

Hey Midge!” called Jake as he step onto the porch. “What are you doing?”
Hi Jake,” greeted Midge. “I'm waiting for Booker-T. His owner came home last night and he's at his home now. My owner is over there talking to his owner.”
Okay,” said Jake. “I know he is happy to have her home. He loves his owner.”
She is really nice,” said Midge.
Is he going to the park with us?” asked Jake.
He is,” said Midge. “He should be coming soon.”
Look over there at your neighbor's house?” smiled Jake. “Don't you like that?”

The Weather is Changing

Good morning Booker-T,” said Midge as she came into the room where Booker-T was curled up in the chair near Snappy's tank. “Good morning Snappy.”
Hi Midge,” said Booker-T as he stretched and jumped down from the chair. “Hi Snappy.”
Did you sleep good last night?” asked Midge.
I did,” said Booker-T “And now that I know all is good with my owner and she will be back in a week, I was able to rest good.”
That's good,” smiled Midge. “I knew all was okay. I just felt it was going to be okay.”
You are so smart Midge,” said Booker-T.
No,” said Midge. “I'm not that smart all the time. When my owner is talking, I always listen.”
I guess I should listen when mine talks,” said Booker-T.

Booker-T Finds a New Toy

Midge came skipping along the sidewalk to Jake's house with Booker-T running beside her. “You don't like to skip?” asked Midge.
No,” said Booker-T. “I don't know how to skip. It is easier for me to run. You can do the skipping okay?”
Okay,” laughed Midge.
They turned the corner and entered the gate at Jake's house. “Hey Jake!” called Booker-T. “Where are you buddy?”
I don't see him on the porch,” said Midge. “I'm going to run to the back and see if he is back there.”
Okay,” agreed Booker-T. “I will wait here and rest while you check.”

Midge and the Dandelion Seeds

Jake came around the corner and hurried through the gate at Midge's house and called out to her. “Hey Midge!” called Jake. He waited a few minutes and didn't hear or see her. He ran down the steps and headed to the back yard. He found Midge in the back yard. “Hi Midge,”
Hi Jake,” said Midge looking toward Jake.
What are you doing?” asked Jake. “Are you chasing bugs again?”
No,” said Midge. “I was blowing the dandelion seeds around the yard.”
Why?” asked Jake.
They look sort of pretty as they float along on the breeze,” smiled Midge.
They do look neat as they sail along in the air,” said Jake.

Autumn is Here

Hey Booker-T!” called Midge as she went to the door. “Are you awake in there?”
I'm awake,” said Booker-T as he came strolling around the house and joined Midge in the front. “I got up when my owner woke up to get ready for work. You are out early this morning. Your owner hasn't gone to work yet, has she?”
No, not yet,” said Midge. “She is getting ready to go now. I came outside to take care of business after eating my breakfast.”
Come on and lets sit on the bench in the backyard,” said Booker-T. “You can see your driveway from the back so you will see when she leaves.”

Jake's Red Foot

Hi Jake,” called Midge as she and Booker-T entered the fence gate at Jake's house. “Where are you?”
Hi Midge,” said Jake as he sat up and poked his head around the post. “Guess what I'm doing.”
I know,” laughed Booker-t. “You are sleeping again.”
You guess good Booker-T,” said Jake. “I was waiting for you two and decided to take a little nap.”
Didn't you just get up for the morning?” asked Midge.
I did,” said Jake. “But after breakfast I like to rest and let my food settle in my little tummy.”
You just like to sleep,” said Midge. “I know you, remember.”
