The Bouncing Fun

Jake, Midge and Booker-T left the zoo and started home to Jake's house. As they passed the house on the corner, Midge saw something standing in the back yard.

“Hey Jake,” said Midge. “What is that in the back yard?”

“I don't know,” said Jake.

“Are they home?” asked Booker-T.

“No,” said Jake. “I see them leave every morning and the don't come home til it gets dark outside.”

“Lets go see what it is,” said Midge. “It is really big.”

Pokey the Sloth

Jake, Midge and Booker-T took a short nap in the new hammock at Jake's house before walking to the little zoo transfer building to check out this thing they call a sloth.

“What kind of animal is at the little zoo building now?” asked Booker-T.

“I don't know what it is,” said Midge. “I heard it was something called a sloth. When my owner was watching the news, the reporter said that everyone should go check out the sloth if anyone had never seen one before.”

“Did they say what it was?” asked Booker-T. “It is a funny name for an animal.”

“Lets go see what it is,” said Midge as she stood up in the hammock and walked to the edge to jump down.

The Big Swing

Midge and Booker-T walked along the sidewalk going to Jake's house.

“What are we going to do today?” asked Booker-T.

“Do you want to go to the little zoo building today?” asked Midge.

“Lets ask Jake what he wants to do,” said Booker-T.

They hurried through the gate at Jake's house, but Jake wasn't on the porch where he was usually napping.

“Jake!” called Midge. “Where are you, Jake?”

The Bubbles

Midge Jake and Booker-T ran to the pond and sat under the tree near where Gabby sat on the rock.

“Do you know what they were doing, Gabby?” asked Midge.

“They were blowing bubbles,” said Gabby.

“They looked like balloons,” said Booker-T.

“Why were they making bubbles?” asked Midge.

“I don't know,” said Jake. “Just having fun maybe.”

“Lets go watch to see what they are going to do,” suggested Midge.

“You don't want to swim?” asked Gabby.

The Magic Show

Midge, Jake, Booker-T and Gabby all went to the park for a little swim in the pond. As they entered the park, Midge saw that many people were gathered in the picnic area.

“He Jake,” said Midge. “What are all those people over there doing?”

“I don't know,” said Jake. “Hey Gabby, you can fly faster than we can run. Go see what is going on over there for us.”

“Okay,” laughed Gabby. “Be right back.”

In a few minutes, Gabby flew back where the three sat and waiting on his return.

“They are having a magic show,” said Gabby.

“What is a magic show?” asked Booker-T.

What Did Gabby Learn

Midge crawled out the doggie door and ran around to the front of the house and met Booker-T coming through the front gate.

“Hi Midge,”said Booker-T. “Where are you going in a big hurry?”

“Hi Booker-T,” said Midge. “I was coming to get you.”

“Well, here I am,” smiled Booker-T. “What is going on?”

“Have you seen Gabby today?” asked Midge.

“No,” said Booker-T. “Not since he came to the zoo the other day to see the Macaw birds, why?”

“I want to see what they taught him to do,” said Midge. “They were going to teach Gabby some tricks after their show.”
