New Friends at the Pond

 

Let's hurry to the little train station over there," said Jake as he started walking over there with Midge and Booker-T following along. They stood in the front of the building looking for the train.

"Where is the train?" asked Midge. "I don't see one."

"I don't know," said Jake. "Maybe it is not running now because the little humans are in school."

"Do you think so?" asked Booker-T. "But here comes a big human and two little humans. They will want to ride the train."

"Maybe," said Jake. "Maybe they don't run the train when they are in school and only run it when it is the weekend."

Cold Weather Coming

 

Booker-T and Midge strolled along the sidewalk on their way to Jake's house.

"What are we going to do today?" asked Booker-T.

"I think we are going to go back to the zoo building again," said Midge.

"Are we going to go see the big black cat?" asked Booker-T. "He was shiny black but he didn't have orange stripes. I like the tigers. They are like me, black and orange."

"You just like orange and black stripes," laughed Midge. "What do you want to do?"

"Can we go ride the train at the park first?" asked Booker-T.

The Dentist

 

Midge was sitting on the porch waiting for Booker-T to walk over to her house. He strolled into the yard through the gate and sat down beside Midge on the porch.

"Hi Midge," smiled Booker-T. "What are you doing?"

"Just sitting here," said Midge.

"Are you okay this morning?" asked Booker-T. "You look little sad this morning. What happened?"

"I'm okay," said Midge. "I was worried about my owner."

"What happened with your owner?" asked Booker-T.

The Wild Wagon Ride

 

Midge ran out of the bedroom and leaped into the chair next to Snappy's tank. She stood on her hind legs and peaked over the top of the tank.

"Hi Snappy," said Midge. "What are you doing?"

"I was sleeping," said Snappy as he stretched and stood up looking up at Midge. "What are you doing?"

"I just woke up and ran out to say hi," said Midge.

"What are you going to do today with Jake and Booker-T?" asked Snappy. "I miss playing with you at the pond sometimes."
