Midge, Jake and Booker-T walked along the sidewalk to the petting zoo and the big zoo transfer building. They got to the corner and looked both ways before crossing the street. They hurried around the building to the back where the petting zoo was, but nothing was there.
"Where did the petting zoo go?" asked Midge.
"I don't know," said Booker-T.
"Wow," said Jake. "Gone. Where did all the animals go?"
Midge stood on the end of the owner's bed and stretched as she heard her owner go out the door on her way to work. She leaped off the bed and ran to the living room and leaped in the chair next to Snappy's tank home.
"Good morning, Snappy," smiled Midge as she stood on her hind legs on the back of the chair and poked her nose over the side of the tank. "What are you doing?"
"Hi Midge," said Snappy. "I was looking out the window watching the birds flying around the front yard."
"Is Gabby out there?" asked Midge.
Midge crawled out the doggie door and hurried to Booker-T's house next door.
"Booker-T!" called Midge as she ran to the back of the house.. "Booker-T, where are you?"
"Hey Midge!" called Booker-T as he poked his head out the doggie door. "Hi. I'm here."
"What are you doing?" asked Midge.
"I just finished eating breakfast," said Booker-T as he crawled through the door. "What are you doing?"
Midge sat on the front porch watching the rain falling. "Is the rain ever going to stop!" thought Midge.
"Rain rain, go away. Come again another day," sang Midge.
"What are you singing?" asked Booker-T as he joined Midge on the front porch.
"What are you doing Booker-T?" asked Midge. "You look like a drowned rat."
Midge crawled through the doggie door and walked through the front gate to the sidewalk and walked to Booker-T's house next door. She hurried through the gate.
At the back door, she poked her head into his doggie door and called out. "Hey Booker-T! Where are you?"
"Hey there, Midge," said Booker-T as he peaked around the refrigerator.
"What are you doing?" asked Midge as she entered the kitchen.
"I was just eating breakfast," smiled Booker-T. "What are you doing?"
"Hi there, Snappy," greeted Midge as she came into the living room from the bedroom.
"Hi Midge," said Snappy. "What are you doing?"
"I just woke up," said Midge as she jumped into the chair beside the table where Snappy's tank sat. "What are you doing this morning?"
"I was watching the sun come up in the sky," smiled Snappy. "Is it warm outside today?"
"No," said Midge. "It is still winter out there, but all the snow melted away."
The three friends walked to the gym after visiting with the animals at the Zoo center where they will be taken to the big zoo across town where they will have their new home. Above them, flew Gabby, When they arrived at the gym, they saw a very big sign on the side of the building.
"What does it say, Jake?" asked Booker-T.
"It says that there is a dance party here at the gym this afternoon," read Jake. "They are inviting everyone to come and dance and join the fun."
"We are everyone," smiled Midge. "They said everyone can come."
