Visiting the Circus Tents

The three friends were enjoying their nap when they heard a lot of noise coming from beyond the trees where the bicycle path was. They each sat up and looked toward the path.
“Wow,” said Booker-T. “Look at the pretty horses.”
Along the path came two men leading four beautiful white horses.
“Those are the horses from the circus,” said Jake.
“They sure are pretty,” said Midge. “I love to see them when they have all their fancy stuff on when they are doing their acts in the big tent.”

Gone To See The Animals

“Hey Midge!” called Jake as he and Booker-T strolled up the steps to the porch. “What are you doing this morning?”
“I was napping,” said Midge.
“Napping?” asked Booker-T. “Why are you napping? Didn't you just wake up from sleeping the night?”
“Yes,” said Midge. “But I was so excited about the circus we saw yesterday that I didn't go to sleep til late.”
“Why?” asked Jake.
“I lay there thinking about all the acts and the exciting things going on,” said Midge. “And I think I ate too much stuff. I had a tummy ache last night after I laid down.”
“Me too,” said Booker-T. “I never ate so much stuff at one time before.”

The Big Circus Show Begins

“Jake! Jake!” yelled Midge as she raced into the yard and up the steps to the front porch at Jake's house. “Hey, where are you?”

Midge stood on the porch in front of the door and looked around and did not see Jake. She raced down the steps and around the corner of the house on her way to the back yard. As she hurried around the corner, she ran right into Jake who was coming the other direction.

“Hey Midge!” screamed Jake. “Slow down! We have plenty of time before the circus starts.”

“We still have to go get Booker-T,” said Midge.

Circus is in Town

“Hey Jake!” called Midge as she ran around the corner and through the gate at Jake's house. “Where are you?”

“What is all the excitement?” asked Jake sitting up. “You are sure in a hurry this morning.”

“The circus is here!” smiled Midge. “And I'm not in trouble with the mistress so came running to tell you.”

“Great,” said Jake. “I'm glad you aren't in trouble. Booker-T wanted to see the circus too so lets go find him and take him to the park where they are setting up the tents.”
