Something is Happening at the Park

“Jake! Jake!” screamed Midge as she ran up the sidewalk to Jake's house.
“Hey! Slow down” said Jake. “What is going on? Why the hurry?”
“Come on let's go!” aid Midge. “You have to see.”
“What do I have to see?” asked Jake. “Where is Booker-T?”
“He is already there,” said Midge. “He is waiting for us.”
“Where is he waiting?” asked Jake. “Slow down a minute.”
“He is at the park,” said Midge.
“What is he doing at the park?” asked Jake.
“Come on,” said Midge as she started out the gate with Jake running behind her.
The two raced along the sidewalk to the park. They quickly looked both ways and then ran across the street into the park. They found Booker-T sitting on one of the benches.

Jimmy and Sammy Ant

The morning came with the sun glistening brightly on all the snow that covered the ground. The snowflakes glistened like gems spread across the yard. Midge ran outside and wasn't out long when she scurried back through the doggie door into the kitchen.
Jake pushed his way through the door behind her. “HI Midge,” smiled Jake. “What are you doing?”
Hi Jake,” greeted Midge. “Isn't the snow pretty in the sunlight?”
It is really bright out there this morning,” said Jake. “But it feels very cold.”
I know,” said Midge. “That's why I hurried back inside. My feet were cold.”
Is Booker-T here?” asked Jake. “I didn't see him outside.”

The Snow Continues to Fall

Midge ran outside in the morning to take care of business while she waited for Booker-T and Jake to come. The snow was still falling. She was standing there laughing when Jake came around the corner.
What is so funny?” asked Jake. “You look like you are having fun.”
The snowflakes tickle my nose,” said Midge.
You mean your nose isn't frozen after diving into the snow like you did yesterday?” asked Jake. “You really looked so funny all covered with snow.”
You make a really good snowdog, Midge,” said Booker-T as he joined the two in the backyard.
It was very cold,” said Midge. “But it was fun sliding down the hill but I couldn't make the sled stop till it hit that spot at the bottom of the hill and I flew off.”

Again Comes the Snow

Snowflakes are falling on my head,” sang Midge as she hurried along the sidewalk dragging a sled. Booker-T was running behind her as they went through the gate at Jake's house.
Midge,” said Jake. “I think the words are 'Raindrops keep falling on my head', not snowflakes.”
But it isn't raining out,” said Midge. “It is snowing again so I changed the words for the day.”
Why are you dragging that sled?” asked Jake. “Did you take it from some kid's yard?”
Oh no,” aid Midge. “It was in my back yard. It belongs to my owner's nephew.”
Why are you dragging it around?” asked Jake.
