The Runaway

 

Midge woke up when her owner got out of the bed and went into the bathroom to clean up for the day at work. She sat on the edge of the bed a few minutes. When she heard the shower running in the bathroom, she jumped to the floor and ran to the living room. She leaped into the chair beside Snappy's tank.

"Good morning, Snappy," greeted Midge.

"Hi Midge," said Snappy. "What are you doing?"

"I just woke up," said Midge. "Our owner is getting ready for work."

"What are you going to do today?" asked Snappy.

"I don't know yet," said Midge. "Booker-T and I are going to Jake's house. Maybe we will go play in the park. Do you want to come with us?"

What is an Orangutan

 

Midge ran out the gate to her front yard and made her way down the sidewalk to Booker-T's house. She hurried through the gate and as she walked to the back of the house, Booker-T was coming out his doggie door.

'Hi Booker-T," said Midge. "What are you doing?"

"Hi Midge," smiled Booker-T. "I was going to come to your house."

"What were you going to do at my house?" asked Midge.

"I was coming to your house," smiled Booker-T.

"I beat you and came to your house," laughed Midge.

"Lets go get Jake and go to the zoo," said Booker-T.

The Grand Opening

 

Midge ran out into the living room and leaped into the chair next to Snappy's tank. "Good morning Snappy," smiled Midge.

"Good morning, Midge. You are happy this morning," smiled Snappy.

"I know," said Midge. "It is a happy day today."

"Why is it a happy day?" asked Snappy. "I'm always happy every day."

The Little Queen

 

Jake and Booker-T walked through the gate at Midge's house and stood there watching Midge. She had a pink bow on her ears and was prancing back and forth across the porch. She would get to one side of the porch and flip her head around and back across the porch.

"Hey Midge!" called Jake as they walked to the porch. "What are you doing?"

"I'm practicing," smiled Midge as she flipper her head back and forth.

"Is there something wrong with your head?" asked Booker-T.

"No," said Midge.

"Why are you practicing?" asked Jake. "You know how to walk."

Stay out of the Storm

 

Midge's owner was getting ready to go to work. Midge laid on the end of the bed watching her getting ready and followed her to the kitchen when she finished. She sat on the floor next to her as she fixed her bowl of food for the morning. She was eating her breakfast when her owner went out the door going to work.

She was about to finish her breakfast when a loud crack of thunder seem to make the windows rattle. Midge jumped back from the bowl and ran into the living room and squeezed behind the sofa.

"Hey Midge," called Snappy. "What are you doing?"

"I don't like the thunder," said Midge as she poked her nose out from behind the sofa.

The Movie Palace

 

Jake, Midge and Booker-T were sitting on the porch at Midge's house when Gabby flew down and landed on the porch railing.

"Hey you guys," said Gabby. "What are you guys doing?"

"We are trying to decide what we want to do today to have fun," said Midge.

"What are you doing, Gabby?" asked Booker-T.

"I was near the skateboard ramp," said Gabby.

"Were you watching the humans playing with their skateboards?" asked Jake.

 

Midge and Booker-T walked along the sidewalk on their way to Jake's house.

"What is that?"asked Booker-T.

"What are you looking at?" asked Midge.

"Over there in the middle of the street," said Booker-T.

"I don't know," said Midge as she started to go into the street. "Come on let's go see what it is."
