Midge and Booker-T started walking along the sidewalk to Jake's house. From above, Gabby flew down and landed on the sidewalk in front of them.
"Where are you doing?" asked Gabby.
"Where are we doing, Midge?" asked Booker-T.
"You don't know what you are doing, Booker-T?" asked Gabby.
"No," smiled Booker-T. "I just started to walk with Midge, but she didn't tell me what were are going to do."
Midge and her friends walked Buzzy and his little friends from the park to the zoo building.
"Is that the petting zoo?" asked Buzzy. "That is really big place."
"No," said Jake. "That is a zoo building and the animals in there are going to another big zoo somewhere. Sometimes we go there to see what animals are in the building."
"I don't see a petting zoo," said Buzzy looking around.
"It is behind the building," said Midge.
Buzzy started to walk across the street and Jake stopped him.
Midge ran through the gate and went to Booker-T's house. As she entered the yard, Booker-T came running around the house to the front.
"Hi Midge," smiled Booker-T. "What are you doing?"
"I was on the way here to walk to Jake's house with you," said Midge.
"Are we going to the zoo today?" asked Booker-T.
"We can ask Jake," said Midge. "Come on, lets go."
The two ran out of the yard through the gate and hurried along the sidwalk.
Midge hurried along the sidewalk to Booker-T's house next door. She ran around to the back of the house and poked her head through the doggie door and looked around the kitchen. She crawled into the house and ran to the living room looking for Booker-T.
"Hey Booker-T!" called Midge. "Where are you?"
Booker-T slowly came walking into the living room from the bedroom.
"Hi Midge," smiled Booker-T. "Am I late getting up this morning?"
Midge crawled through the doggie door and started to walk around the house to the front yard. As she turned the corner she jumped and she felt her heart beating hard. Coming around the corner she was startled by Booker-T.
"Oh!" said Midge. "You scared me. What are you doing?"
"Hi Midge," smiled Booker-T. "I was coming to see you. What are you doing?"
"I was coming to your house," laughed Midge. "You beat me here."
Booker-T ran to Midge's house and Midge wasn't on the front porch, so he ran around to the back of the house and entered the kitchen through the doggie door.
"Hey Midge!" called Booker-T as she walked to the living room. "It's me! I'm here. Where are you?"
He leaped into the chair beside Snappy's tank and put his paws up on the glass and pressed his nose against the glass.
"Hey Snappy," said Booker-T. "Where are you?"
Snappy poked his head up from behind a rock.
Midge was sitting on the front porch waiting for Booker-T and Jake to come. They planned to go ride the train at the park today. She looked down the street and saw Jake coming along the sidewalk. He was joined by Booker-T when he reached Booker-T's gate. Booker-T ran out and both he and Jake walked to Midge's house. Midge jumped up as they walked through the gate and started pacing back and forth.
"Hi Midge," said Jake. "You don't know where your owner is taking you yet?"
"I know you will be okay," said Booker-T. "Don't worry Midge. We are here for you."
