Follow That Spaceship

Jake, Booker-T and Midge started to go through the gate at Jake's house when suddenly above them, they heard the swirling noise of something big. Midge stopped and looked up at the skies.
“Jake!” said Midge. “There is the spaceship!”
Jake looked up and saw the ship flying above them. “Where is it going?” asked Booker-T.
“I don't know,” said Jake.
“Do you think we can follow it?” asked Midge.
“I think it might be hard to follow it,” said Jake. “It is moving fast across the sky.”
“It looks like it is just flying around and around up there,” said Booker-T. “Do you think it is following us?”
“Why would it follow us?” asked Midge. “We are just three little animals.”

“If they are aliens from another planet,” said Jake. “Maybe they don't know we are just animals.”
“Maybe,” said Midge. “Lets walk to my house and see if they follow us.”
“Okay,” said Jake. “Come on Booker-T, lets go.”
The three started walking slow along the sidewalk on their way to Midge's house.
“Is it following us?” asked Booker-T.
Midge looked toward the sky and looked around. “I don't see it.”
“Oh good,” sighed Jake.
“But where did it go?” asked Booker-T.
“I want to see the space aliens on the ship,” said Midge.
“We can walk around and try to find it,” said Jake. “It was going that direction.”
“Do you want to go find it?” asked Booker-T.
“Maybe,” said Midge. “Do you want to Jake?”
“What if it takes us to another planet,” suggested Jake.
“Why would it do that?” asked Midge.
“Maybe their planet don't have animals,” suggested Booker-T.
“I don't want to go to another planet,” said Jake. “I like it here.”
“We will be careful,” said Midge. “Lets see if we can find it. I want to see who is in the spaceship.”
“If we find it,” said Booker-T. “How will we see inside?”
“I didn't see any windows on the outside of the spaceship,” said Jake.
“We can sit there and wait for the door to open,” said Midge.
“Maybe they don't want to come outside,” suggested Jake.
“Lets go see if we can find it,” smiled Midge. “I want to see.”
The three started walking along the sidewalk looking all around them as they went.
“Remember that field that the balloons were in?” asked Jake.
“Yes,” said Midge. “The same one that the circus was in.”
“Lets check it out,” said Jake. “It would be a good spot to land a spaceship.”
They hurried along the sidewalk to the field. As they got to the corner, they saw the spaceship sitting in the middle of the field.
“What are they doing at that other end of the field?” asked Booker-T.
“They are building something,” said Jake. “They don't look like they are worried that the spaceship is sitting there.”
“Do you think they came from on the ship?” asked Midge.
“Maybe,” said Jake. “They don't look like they are afraid of the space aliens.”
“Are they the space aliens?” asked Booker-T.
“I don't know,” said Jake. “If they are, they look like our human owners.”
“Did you see that alien movie two weeks ago?” asked Midge.
“No,” said Jake. “What does a movie have to do with it?”
“It was an alien movie,” said Midge. “This space alien came to earth and transformed himself into looking like a human.”
“What did he really look like?” asked Booker-T.
“He was brown with scales like a fish,” said Midge. “He only had 3 fingers on each hand and 4 toes on each foot.”
“He sounds ugly,” said Booker-T.
“How did they make themselves look like humans?” asked Jake.
“They drank some kind of juice,” said Midge.
“Do you think they drank the juice?” asked Booker-T.
“Maybe,” said Midge.
“Do you want to walk by them and try to hear what they might say?” asked Jake.
“I don't know,” said Midge. “Do you think we would be safe?”
“They are busy,” said Booker-T. “Maybe they won't notice us walking by.”
“Okay,” said Jake. “Lets go.”
The three started to cross the street and enter the field and slowly walked past the big silver spaceship sitting in the middle of the field. The men didn't seem to notice them walking close by. They sat down next to a box that was sitting on the ground not far from where they were working.
“Looks like they are building a stage,” said Midge. “Why are they building a stage?”
“I don't know,” said Booker-T.
“Maybe they are going to talk to the people from the stage,” smiled Midge.
“What would they say?” asked Jake.
“I don't know,” said Midge shaking her head. “Do you want to stay and listen to them?”
“Hello little ones,” said one of the men as he walked toward them, holding out a bowl of water. “Would you like some water?”
The three stood and started backing up from the man.
“It's okay,” said the man with his hand stretched out toward them.
“Lets run!” screamed Midge. “Don't let him touch you. He might turn you into a space alien.”
As the three ran for the street, Jake tripped over a big piece of wood laying on the ground.
“Jake!” screamed Midge. “Get up! Run!”
“Wait a minute,” said Jake. “This is a sign.”
“What does it say?” asked Midge. “Is it from the space aliens?”
“I think so,” laughed Jake.
“What is so funny?” asked Booker-T. “Space aliens here on earth isn't funny.”
“This is,” said Jake.
“Why?” asked Midge.
“Do you want to go to a concert tonight?” asked Jake.
“What concert?” asked Midge. “Are the space aliens giving a concert?”
“Yes,” said Jake. “This is a new group called The Space Aliens.”
“They aren't real space aliens from outer space?” asked Booker-T.
“No,” said Jake. “It is a singing group.”
“But they are flying a spaceship,” said Midge.
“That is what they are using to advertise their show,” said Jake. “But it isn't a real spaceship.”
“Oh,” said Midge. “I wanted to see a space alien from outer space.”
“Lets go home,” suggested Booker-T. “I'm tired of looking for space aliens.”

“Me too,” laughed Jake. “Some day maybe a real one will come to earth.”
