Visit to the Amusement Park

Midge and Booker-T walked along the sidewalk on their way to Jake's house. Gabby flew down from above them and landed on Midge's head.

"Hey Gabby!" laughed Midge. "What are you doing on my head?"

"Hi Midge," greeted Gabby. "Where are you going?"

"Hi Gabby," said Booker-T. "We are going to Jake's house. Are you going to come with us?"

"Sure," said Gabby. "What are you going to do there?"

"I think we are going to go to the amusement park," said Midge. "I want to ride the roller coaster thing."

"They won't let you get on it," said Gabby.

"Maybe we can sneak on it," said Midge. "It will be busy and they maybe won't see us."

"Did you forget," said Gabby. "They walk along the cars and check to be sure everyone is buckled in and they will see you."

"We want to rid the roller coaster," sighed Midge.

"You are the one who wants to ride it, Midge," said Booker-T.

"Don't you want to ride it?" asked Midge.

"Maybe," said Booker-T. "But if they won't let us get on, I am okay with not riding it. We can go do something else."

"What do you want to do?" asked Midge.

"Do you want to go swim in the pond at the park?" asked Booker-T.

"I was at the park and the pond is full of little humans playing there," said Gabby.

"We don't want to go to the pond today," said Midge shaking her head.

"What are you guys doing?" asked Jake as he walked up and stood beside Booker-T.

"Hi Jake," said Midge. "We are on our way to your house."

"How?" asked Jake.

"Walking," said Booker-T.

"You are just standing here," said Jake. "You don't look like you are walking."

"We were coming," said Midge. "But Gabby flew down on my head and we stopped walking."

"What are you guys doing?" asked Jake.

"We were talking about what to do today," said Booker-T. "Midge wants to go to the amusement park and ride on the roller coaster."

"I don't think they will let us on the roller coaster," said Jake.

"We can try," suggested Midge.

"We can try if you want," said Jake. "What do you want to do Booker-T?"

"I don't know," said Booker-T. "I thought we maybe could go swim in the pond at the park, but Gabby said it was full of little humans."

"What do you want to do, Jake?" asked Midge.

"Why don't you go to the farm?" suggested Gabby.

"Do you want to go to the farm, Midge?" asked Jake.

"Okay," agreed Midge. "Lets go."

The three started walking along the sidewalk with Gabby following them overhead. They turned down the road that leads to the farm. Near the farm is the skateboard ramps where they saw four small human boys riding their skateboards up and down the ramps.

"They are really good," said Midge. "I want to try it again."

"You can't ride a skateboard," said Jake. "Remember when you fell off backwards."

"I need to try again," said Midge. "I know I can learn how to do it."

"You don't have a skateboard," said Booker-T.

"I could use the wagon," suggested Midge.

"Ha ha ha," laughed Jake. "You can't ride a wagon on the skateboard ramp."

"Why?" asked Midge. "I think that would be fun. I can hold onto the handle."

"It might be fun, Jake," said Booker-T. "We can try it one day."

"You two are funny," laughed Gabby. "Come on lets go to the farm."

"I really want to go to the amusement park and ride the roller coaster," sighed Midge.

"We are close to the amusement park, Jake," said Booker-T. "Lets try there first."

"Okay," agreed Jake. "If we can't get in, we will come to the farm."

"Okay!" said Midge. "Lets hurry."

The three saw humans in a line at the gate of the amusement park slowly going through the open gate. They got close to the gate and stood and watched as they walked in handy their tickets to the big human just inside the gate. They got close to the humans walking in and squeezed through the gate with a group of 4 humans.

"We are in!" shouted Midge. "Come on lets go look around the park."

"Smell the food," smiled Booker-T. "I'm hungry."

"We don't have any money to buy food," said Jake.

"Maybe we can dance for something to eat," suggested Midge. "Lets go over there."

Midge walked over to where some small humans were eating and she started to dance around. The little humans started laughing as they watched her dance around. Jake and Booker-T sat and watched.

"Come on Jake," said Midge as she danced around. "Come on Booker-T. Dance with me."

The little humans were laughing.

"Aren't they cute," said their mom who walked up with some drinks for the little ones. "Maybe this is new at the park."

They stopped dancing and sat down near the human's table and stared at them eating.

"Do you think they want something to eat, mom?" asked a little boy.

"Give them a bite," said the mom. "The danced good."

The little humans tossed out a bite for each of them. They ate their little bites and started to walk away.

"Lets go find the roller coaster," said Midge.

"Over there," said Jake.

They hurried to the roller coaster where they saw a long line of humans standing and waiting to ride.

"Wow," said Booker-T. "There are a lot of humans wanting to ride the roller coaster."

"I want to ride it too," said Midge.

"I think there are too many people," said Jake. "There will be no place for us to sit."

"Oh," said Midge. "I really wanted to ride it. Maybe I can sneak in with those two boys and sit with them."

"I don't think so," said Jake.

Midge ran behind the two small boys and when they entered the back car, Midge sneaked into the car with them.

"Hey!" said one of the boys. "You can't ride with us."

Midge put her paw on the lap of the boy and looked at him.

"She can ride with us," said the other boy. "Hide her, here comes the man."

"You can't bring your dog on the ride, boys," said the man. "The dog will have to wait for you on the ground."

Midge walked off the roller coaster and joined Booker-T and Jake.

"They won't let me ride," sighed Midge. "I really wanted to ride the roller coaster."

"Do you want to go to the farm?" asked Booker-T. "We can visit the horses and the cows."

"Okay," said Midge nodding her head. "Lets go."
