"Hi Snappy," said Midge as she walked into the living room and leaped into the chair. "Do you know what day it is?"
"I think it is Friday," said Snappy.
"Yes," said Midge. "And what else?"
"Is there something else?" asked Snappy. "I only know it is Friday."
"Hey Midge!" called Booker-T as he crawled through the doggie door at Midge's house and ran to the living room. "Where are you?"
"Hi Booker-T," greeted Snappy. "What are you doing?"
"Hi Snappy," smiled Booker-T. "Wow, I like your tree. It looks a little like the one in my house."
"It's pretty," said Snappy.
"Hi Booker-T," said Midge as she walked out of the bedroom. "Do you like the pretty tree?"
"Christmas is coming! Christmas is coming!" sang Midge as she entered the living room and jumped in the chair beside Snappy's tank. "Hi Snappy! Did you know that Christmas is coming?"
"Is that a good thing?" asked Snappy. "Who is Christmas?
"Christmas only comes once a year," said Midge.
"Don't he like to come visit?" asked Snappy. "Did I meet him last year?"
"No, I don't think so," said Midge. "I have never met him either."
When Midge woke up, she ran to the living room and jumped in the chair next to Snappy's and pressed her nose to the window. "It's snowing!" said Midge. "And the ground is all white."
"Hi Midge," said Snappy. "Is the white ground a good thing?"
"Hi Snappy," smiled Midge. "Yes, it's good to have the ground covered in lots of snow."
"Why?" asked Snappy. "I remember snow is cold."
"I can ride the sled down the hill now," said Midge.
"Do you think you should try to ride the sled again?" asked Snappy. "Didn't you land in the snow head first the last time you rode the sled?"
Midge walked to Booker-T's house and hurried through the gate and around to the back of the house. As she came around the house, Booker-T was just crawling through the doggie door to the outside.
"Hi there Midge," said Booker-T. "Are you coming to see me?"
"Well, yes," said Midge. "That is why I am here."
"Here I am," laughed Booker-T.
"I see you," laughed Midge. "Lets go see Jake."
"Okay," smiled Booker-T as he and Midge hurried through the gate and walked along the sidewalk.
"What are we doing to do today?" asked Midge.
"I can fly, I can fly," sang Midge as she danced around the front yard. "I can fly."
"What are you doing?" asked Jake as he and Booker-T came into the yard through the front gate.
"I am singing," smiled Midge. "Don't you like my little song?"
"Why are you singing that you can fly?" asked Booker-T. "You can't fly. Remember what happened when you tried? "
"I remember," said Midge. "All I need is to think of good things and use a little Fairy dust."
Midge came into the living room and jumped into the chair near Snappy's tank.
"Hi Snappy," said Midge.
"Hi Midge," smiled Snappy. "What are you doing this morning?"
"I am going to go to Jake's house," replied Midge.
"Is Booker-T going to go with you?" asked Snappy.
"Yes," said Midge. "He always goes with me and we all go have fun together."
