Going To the Farm

 

Midge, Jake and Booker-T visited with Snappy for a little while and then decided to walk to the farm to meet Lucy. Oscar had invited them to come and meet her.

“We will see you later Snappy,” said Midge as she jumped out of the chair.

“Bye, Snappy,” said Booker-T.

“See you later,” smiled Jake. “You can go with us if you want, Snappy.”

“Oh, no,” said Snappy. “The farm will be a really big place. I might get lost out there.”

“You can stay in the wagon,” suggested Midge. “You will be safe in the wagon.”

The Boxes

 

Midge stood on the bed and stretched before jumping to the floor and followed her owner to the kitchen. She sat on the floor near her bowl as she watched her owner putting water into the coffee pot that sat on the counter. She waited patiently as she got the pot started. In a few minutes, her owner got the bag of dog food from the pantry closet and filled her bowl. She then patted Midge on the head. “Good morning Midge.” smiled her owner. “Here's some fresh water also for you.”

Meeting Oscar

 

Midge, Booker-T and Jake went to the petting zoo which was now inside a new area behind the zoo transfer building.

“Look Jake,” said Midge. “This is a nice area now for all the animals. They can be inside from the bad weather now.”

“Do you see the baby donkey?” asked Booker-T as he looked around the area where all the animals are.

“Not yet,” said Midge as she also stood looking around at all the animals in the corral area.

Midge went back to sleep on the end of her owner's bed after she left for work. He house was quiet and Midge slept an hour longer. She stretched and jumped down to the floor after she woke up. She hurried to the living room and jumped into the chair beside Snappy's tank.

“Good morning, Midge,” greeted Snappy “you slept late this morning.”

“I know,” smiled Midge. “I think Booker-T is waiting for me so we can go to Jake's house.

“Yes,” said Booker-T as he entered the room and heard her talking to Snappy. “I was waiting for you. What happened to you?”

Trip to The Petting Zoo

 

"Good morning, Snappy," said Midge as she hurried through the living room and into the kitchen. She hurried up and ate her breakfast and started to crawl through the doggie door, but when she hit the door with her head to push it open, it didn't move.

"Ouch," said Midge.

"Is that you Midge?" asked Booker-T from the other side of the door.

"Hi Booker-T," greeted Midge as she poked her head out the door. "I think you were trying to come in same time I was trying to go out."

The Torn Paper

    Hello everyone... Sorry for the late posting from Jake and Midge..  We were traveling and didn't get the story posted before we left for the trip...   

   Now,  Here is the story     "The Torn Paper"

Midge entered the living room and jumped into the chair next to Snappy's tank.

"Good morning, Snappy," said Midge as she poked her nose to the glass looking for Snappy in the tank. "Where are you? I think you are hiding again."

"Hi Midge," smiled Snappy as he crawled onto the log. "What are you doing?"

"I'm going to go to Jake's house with Booker-T," said Midge.

"Are you going to the zoo building again?" asked Snappy.

"I don't know yet," said Midge. "You should have seen the giant turtle we saw when we were there the last time. Wow, Snappy, he was a really big turtle."

Jake, Midge and Booker-T walked along the sidewalk to the zoo transfer facility to see what animals were there being transferred to or from their city's big zoo across town. They stopped at the corner, checking to be sure there were no cars coming and hurried across the street. They saw the zoo train pull into the station and several humans got on for the ride to the zoo across the city.

"I wish we would ride the train to the big zoo," sighed Midge.

"I know," said Booker-T. "It would be fun to go see all those animals there, but if they saw us, they would toss us off the train and it's a really long way for us if we have to walk home."
